Privacy policy

This policy explains how Varen (Executive Assistant) handles information for its privately operated personal-assistance service and this information site.
Information and purposes
Varen processes information you provide, account identity and authorization information, and information from services you choose to connect. It uses this information to provide requested assistance, maintain your saved information, operate the service and protect access.
With your permission, Google integrations access Calendar event information for scheduling and supported event management; Gmail message metadata and previews for email assistance, organization and supported reply-draft creation and message organization; and Google Contacts names, email addresses, telephone numbers and organization details for contact lookup. Actions are limited by the permissions granted and the service's authorization controls.
Google authorization tokens enable connected access. Varen does not request your Google password.
Processing and sharing
Relevant requests, context and results may be processed by OpenAI, including through ChatGPT, to provide AI-assisted features. Google processes connected-service requests. Authentication and hosting providers, including Auth0 and Cloudflare, process information needed to operate and secure the service. These providers may retain information under their applicable terms and policies.
Varen does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. Google Workspace API data is not used to develop, improve or train non-personalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. AI processing of that data is limited to providing the requested assistance.
Varen's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Storage and protection
Service records, including saved information and relevant requests and results, may be retained in operator-controlled storage, logs and backups. Access controls and encrypted network connections help protect information. No system can guarantee complete security.
This public information site does not display private connected-account records. Its hosting provider may process ordinary connection and security information, such as IP addresses and browser information. The site includes no advertising or embedded analytics scripts.
Retention, deletion and your choices
Varen does not currently apply one automatic deletion period to all service records. Saved records may remain until removed by the operator. Backups and records retained for security, recovery or legal obligations may remain longer.
You may revoke Varen's Google access in your Google Account at any time. Revocation stops future connected access; it does not automatically erase previously saved records or copies held by other services.
To request removal of Varen-held information or ask a privacy question, contact the operator through the support email displayed during Google authorization or your existing private support channel. Deletion may require manual work. Information held by Google, ChatGPT or another provider is also subject to that provider's controls and retention practices.
Changes
Updates will be reflected on this page with a revised date. Material changes to Google data access or use will be disclosed, and any required consent obtained, before that changed use is enabled.
